The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department inspects restaurants twice a year and grades the businesses on a 100-point scale. Scores below 70 require corrective action. Restaurants are reinspected if they fail to meet critical standards.

To file a health-related complaint, call the Department of Environmental Health at 423-209-8110. The scores are original and do not reflect on-the-spot changes, which sometimes lead to upward adjustments.

Reasons including person in charge does not demonstrate control over foodborne illness risk factors at time of routine inspection. No observation of handwashing from food prep employees throughout routine inspection. Handsoap and paper towels not available in handsink in rear corner of establishment. Handsink near ice machine not accessible. Used as storage for boxes. Multiple dented cans stored on can rack mixed in with undented cans. Low boy unit in food prep area holding foods 55-60°F. Does not appear to have power supply. Multiple cooked/prepped foods not date marked in walk in cooler. Rodent droppings present near can rack in back of food prep area. Numerous wet containers stacked on corner of triple sink wet nested. Five gallon buckets containing grease and trash stored outside in the open in rear of facility. 

Reasons including no towels at back hand sink. Walk-in cooler was not holding food below 41, raw chicken, chicken was, slaw and cut cabbage was 45-47 wall thermometer reading 43. Cooler door is still in bad repair, gasket worn and missing cooler and freezer doors. Associates not keeping doors closed and there was no air conditioning in kitchen today room temp was 85. Walk-in freezer was 32 degrees food partially thawed, door not fully closing. Cases of food stored directly stored on wet prep room floor.
